As a client, these coaching sessions are for your growth and benefit. You are in the driver’s seat and I am playing a supporting role in your growth and development. If you are feeling additional support may be needed to address issues outside of my scope of practice, we will discuss this and I will be in full support of your decision. Often, I can provide referrals to other resources as well.
During the course of life coaching, what happens if I realize I may need further support?
This is all up to each individual client but generally, clients see progress and momentum when they do 3-6 sessions minimum, meeting every other week with a weekly coach check in.
How many sessions do you recommend to your clients?
Before we begin our coaching sessions, we will sign a contract as coach and client that our sessions remain confidential. Whether in-person, on the phone, or an online coaching session, I commit to you as your coach that confidentiality will be upheld. In addition, all your client records are protected digitally via a digital platform called Honeybook and protected by a two-step authentication process.
What is your standard on confidentiality?
Therapy and life coaching do have similarities but therapy will address past experiences or trauma with the expertise of a licensed therapist to diagnose or make recommendations. Life coaching often looks at past experiences that inform perspectives but the goal is to move forward with a new sense of agency, exploring new pathways to overcome obstacles and see goals reached.
How is life coaching different than therapy?
Anywhere from 30-60 minutes, depending on client availability.
